Good and Bad

All of us are born the same. We all have a mix of both good and bad. It is our environment and the weakness of our mind which makes us take the evil path more prominently. In essence we are a combination of ying and yan. Everything natural has both good and bad aspects. The sea for instance is very beautiful but it has its bad side in Tsunamis, and more frequently in storms. A rose is very beautiful but it also has thorns. The earth gives us everything but it has a bad side in earthquakes and so on. Why is there evil in us? Well it is mainly to defend ourselves in times of distress.
Therefore, every person has got both the good and bad elements. We are good or bad based on which is has more prominence. But even then we cannot completely rule out the other aspect. A person who is a rogue for most might be an angel for a few while a very saintly person will have shown his bad elements for some. Even Mahatma Gandhi was assasinated only because some considered him as bad.
What does all this boil down too? Well this merely means that everyone of us have enemies whether we like it or not. The only thing we can strive for is from increasing the number of enemies. For this we have to keep the evil in us under control and one of evil's greatest accomplise is anger for we are never in control when we are in anger and say things we never mean and regret later.
