Adoption

The title is very much a give away with regards to the topic in discussion. I am not going to talk about adoption being a noble thing and all such. I think everyone knows that or is at least aware that people name it as such even though they do not believe it.
Everyday we see crimes on the rise and if we take a closer look a significant portion of the these crimes are committed by orphans. They are discarded into this soceity and no one wants them. They inturn feel that they owe nothing to the soceity and do not repent for their crimes. This can be stopped if we adopt a child and give him a somewhat decent education.
Another aspect is do we really need to bring in another child into this ruthless world and make him/her suffer. Ok, let us say that we want our so called better genes to get into the next generation. In that case a couple can have one child of theirs and the other can be adopted. The next point that would be made is that we will at some time hurt the kid and insult it if makes any mistake. Can't we control ourselves being the educated we are? Even if this happens, this is not going to be a daily affair and we should apologise to the kid instantly and make sure we hold our wretched toungue . We are doing our part to prevent future criminals.
Giving a good life to a child and a loving family is something the kid will cherish all his life. But we are to make sure that we do not make any discrimation against this kid. Before commenting to the negative please think of the children who have been orphaned in Somalia, Boznia-Herzagovinia, Srilanka, Kashmir (India), Iraq. The images of starved children will come to mind. Why go that far? look around you and I am sure you will find a kid that is suffering.
The next question that you might ask is will I adopt one. I strongly plan to do so hopefully by convincing my would be wife (whoever she amy be) and I ask the almighty to give the strength to do so. Hoping very strongly to keep up my word. If not I will definitely sponsor the complete education of atleast a couple of children and I can say this with much resolve.

one day in library(just imagine an 8 storied library. it's the gem of this place!) i came across this book titled 'book of lists'.
one of the innumerable interesting lists was about adopted kids who went on to make it big ..
It contained people whom I admired for some reason or other..
Steve Jobs, Bill Clinton, Gerald Ford, Leo Tolstoy, Larry Ellison, John Lennon, Edgar Allan Poe, Rousseau .. are some i remember.

I knew that Steve Jobs was adopted. (as the story goes - his student-unmarried-mother put him up for adoption with on condition that she'd give her son only to couples who were graduates. but the people who adopted the child were not so. to make up for it, they said they'd spend as much as they can for his graduation(which sadly he didn’t complete).)

Could they have become criminals if they'd not been adopted? it's arguable. but i think they may not have made it this big.

I am not saying that every orphan who is not adopted turns into a criminal. What I am saying though is that the probability is very high. Let us see if we can reduce one who could have been by sensitizing him/her.
