I have heard that a person who dies at an early age is most lucky as he is the Almighty loves him more and a person who dies at a ripe old age is considered a true sinner. Is this true I do not know? But in Hinduism we talk of Moksha which is to free oneself from the circle of life and death and it is also said that the more you sin the slimmer are your chances to free yourself from this vicious cycle. This being the case the earlier you die the lesser are your sins and so closer are you to attaining Moksha.
Well but this can be contradicted by the following article which was suggested by my friend.

A person dies because
1. His/her genetic makeup is bad
2. S/he was unlucky enough to be run over by a national permit lorry

Correspondingly I like the Jewish concept so that way everybody gets its fair due.

Neutrally speaking all religions have this carrot stick approach so we humans can stray lesser and lead a healthier life.
