Has anyone told you that cartoons are only for kids? Well, I have been told quite a number of times. But that does not stop me from watching them. Infact I am one of the most ardent fans around. So what are the cartoons that I see? Well, they are mostly action oriented but, I do not rule out the others. Here are a list of cartoons I enjoy and recommend them.
1. Justice League on Cartoon Network - One of the greatest animation series in terms of characterization, creative story and the gripping action. They seem so realistic.
2. Samurai Jack on Caroon Network - This is one amazing series in terms of the way the scenes are ,well, drawn. It has got elements of action and comedy. Some times the way it is drawn is something very close to the way the camera is used in movies.
3. Batman on Cartoon Network - On this I have got not much to say, just that it is on Batman speaks volumes.
4. Spiderman on Cartoon Network - This is one 2D computer generated cartoon and the effects are superbly combined with the creative stories.
5. Johny Quest on Cartoon Network - A great cartoon which talks of a cyber world and encompasses a lot of philosophy in the stories combined with great action. Unfortunately, it is not on air anymore. This is also a 2D computer generated drawings.
6. Dragon Ball Z - Action is something like in the Chinese movies but more enjoyable. Has lot of elements of philosophy and mythology incorporated into the stories. This too is unfotunately not on air
7. X-men - Last but certainely not the least, truly amazing cartoon. The movie is yet to remotely resemble the cartoon and the former is a no match for it, atleast in terms of the characterization.
One of the most realistic animation movies is the Final Fantasy. On the first look you would think the characters are actually humans, but it lost on the story.
Some of the Indian cartoons that truly impressed me was Ramayan and Mahabharath, both expertly brought to life by Pentamedia. These cartoons have done good justice to these all time great epics.
If time permits please watch these great master pieces. I strongly believe you will not be let down. They are most times more enjoyable than the regular movies.
