We have always been told that life as is, is based on water and we are all hydro carbon based living matter and have generalized the fact that all life in the universe/multiverse (parallel universes) is based on water as we are all hydro carbon based.
But why is that we are not thinking beyond this. I have no strong opinion or basis but cant we keep our mind open that we can start to think that life can also be based on other sources. Just take the Transformers movie, why is this not possible? You could dub me crazy or a person who has no knowledge of science but keeping an open mind helped us a lot in discovering/inventing a lot of stuff earlier so why not now?
