A Reason for Exclusive Places of Worship - Temples

I heard this reason from my uncle who is very interested in these topics. Ever wondered why we go to a temple when all the elders say that the Lord is everywhere. People also say that they feel relaxed and at peace with themselves if they visit a temple. Now there must be some scientific reason rather than just religious.
Most of us have observed that the Garba Gruha of most of the temple where the Lord's idol is kept and all the pooja is done has only one exit for light to pass in or out. This is done in purpose. All the pooja especially the deeparadhanai and the abhishekam emit positive waves (or can be called ions) which is said to be very good for our health and since the only exit is the one where we are standing we absorb those waves. This helps reduce our stress and we feel relaxed. This reason can also be attributed to the performing of homas in our house.
I do not much information about other religions so if some one has information on that please comment.

try giving some facts next time instead of adding on to or stating existing dogmas.
