Godfather

In the Western society there is concept of a Godfather or Godmother for every child and it is the duty of this person to look into the welfare of the child in addition to the child's parents and the person who is the Godparent takes his/her role very seriously and sees to it that not only no harm comes to the child but also takes additional care to help the child succeed in life.
We also need a Godparent at every phase of our life if we are to succeed in life and sometimes just to survive in life. In our childhood we need a Godparent to confide in about our inhibitions, apprehensions, sins and questions to a person other than out parents. It is usually our sibling or perhaps a close aunt or uncle. This person will help us stay in the righteous path and enable us to make decisions that are wise and help us move in life.
Similarly, in our adulthood too we need a person to lead us and help us climb the ladder of success. We need them to show the correct career path and help us make the change which will help us.
If we do not have a Godparent, then however talented or brilliant we are we will struggle to get the recognition and success. There is going to be none to show us the path or give us the opportunity to prove ourselves. Every successful person will definitely have a Godparent whether they like to admit or not. Even the so called self-made man will have a Godparent.
I certainly had a few Godfathers in my life and I am sure I will have more if I am going to be successful. Do you remember your Godparents?
